Spiteful, deceitful, righteous and noisy - politics is draining; it’s mental.
If someone says 3L is political, I squirm - Live and Let Live (3L) is the antidote to polarizing politics. 3L focuses on what unites us, not what divides us. Politics is the fight for power to impose our will on others… ugly stuff! 3L is a reconciliatory force that invites tolerance of disagreement as an off-ramp to the endless raging law-fare.
We are going to disagree on things. Tax, abortion, drugs, prostitution, gay-rights, euthanasia - we are never going to reach universal agreement on these topics. The vital question is this: are you willing to use violence to get your way? If you are, you are choosing to create enemies out of your fellow brother and sister human beings. Do you know how they are going to respond to your declaration of war?
- Are you, Mr Blue, morally superior for locking someone up for not paying their ‘fair share’ of taxes? Is violence the cure for selfishness?
- It’s said, Ms Red, that you wish to lock up someone for controlling their body in ways you disagree with? Is your morality so superior that you’re willing to initiate nonconsensual force for it?
- Would tolerance be impossible Mr. Blue and Ms. Red? What if tolerance was the price of peace? Would you still choose to fight?
- This endless lawfare only deprives more freedoms over time. It cannot be won… but will you fight to be right regardless? Is tolerance too unbearable a price to pay for your freedom, and peace on earth?
- This does not necessarily mean your wrong. Live and Let Live defends your right to choose what works for you. The Movement encourages you to ask yourself to tolerate others choosing what works for them, even if it differs to your preference.
