❔ What does 3L do?

“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Summary

We celebrate, we benefit, we grow.

  • To change the laws to accord with the Legal Principle, we need a critical mass of people who agree and are committed to following the Legal Principle.
  • To gain a critical mass of people we celebrate freedom with others who share our values and vision.
  • The pioneers of the Live and Let Live Movement are the (Ambassadors.
  • The more we grow, the greater our gravity, which is our ability to attract people in sufficient numbers to affect real change.

The impact

  • Removing all criminalized victimless acts would free up enormous resources from the justice system, reducing the cost of law enforcement, courts, and prison adminitration.
  • Removing the political privileges from corporations would lead to a dramatic improvement in the environment, as pollution prohibition can be enforced appropriately.
  • Removing all regulation and licence laws that don’t align with the Legal Principle would hugely boost prosperity, as business would be free to form, hire, and serve in any non-aggressing way they choose.
  • Mitigating the greatest existential threats to society: nuclear war, environmental collapse, synthetic biology, and emergent technological threats.

How?

  • Awareness: The 3L Philosophy clearly describes what is required to achieve a free and peaceful society. For it to be widely adopted, we must reach a critical mass of hearts and minds via an awareness campaign.

  • Belonging: Empower those in the 3L Movement with a supportive community that amplifies our collective impact, including an Ambassador Program that creates thousands of local leaders.

  • Change: laws at the local and international level via politics, analysis, and advice.

    • We empower Ambassadors to lead issues-based initiatives. Topics with cross-cultural appeal and urgency include

      • Pollution
      • Victimless crimes, like drug prohibition.
