The Live and Let Live (3L) World Peace Movement
Live and Let Live is a movement for everyone. It unites people of each nation, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, culture, and religious inclination oriented toward peace. Peace requires both the absence of aggression and the presence of voluntary kindness.
Live and Let Live aim to inspire the reasonable people of the world to understand and adopt the 3L Philosophy. When that occurs, the unreasonable people of the world will no longer be permitted to wrongfully and forcefully impose their will on others through the mechanisms of the law. At that time, and for the first time, we will give peace a real chance.
- The Movement is comprised of people who recognize that freedom is a prerequisite for peace. We cannot have a peaceful society if we are aggressing against each other.
- In addition to freedom, we recognise that treating each other well is also needed for peaceful coexistence, but that this cannot be mandated without violating the Legal Principle.
Organizational structure
The movement is spearheaded by a 501(c)(3) public charity, ‘The Live and Let Live Community’, registered in the United State. The charity pursues its mission under an ‘ABC’ strategy:
- Awareness: spread widely a deep understanding of the 3L Philosophy, and how it is a superior model for coexistence than the current systems that are failing us.
- Belonging: create a community of all those aligned with the 3L Philosophy; a critical mass of people.
- Change: implement legal reforms at the local, national, and international levels.
The Live and Let Live Council and Aspirational Values are robust and communicated correctly. The Council is also responsible for 3L’s Ambassador Program.
Towards the destination of peace
Live and Let Live is a movement, an unending flow, towards peace, freedom, and prosperity. It’s a path to peace intended for all people, covering all human interactions. The movement is not a static institution, but a practical peace philosophy.
Though global peace is the direction, it’s not a destination we expect to reach soon. Also, it is unavoidable that a perfect system cannot be achieved. The Legal Principle and its application have been designed to achieve a reasonable construction of a rule that is sensible and fair for all, rather than a single correct interpretation of the rule. Our motto is:
‘Aim high, fall short, do well’.
Why 3L matters
- Who you are, your conscious ability and will, are the only things you can know. Why this relationship is sacred, the only ultimate right worthy of defending, is not something we preach with words, but practice with our lives.
