🥈 Silver Rule

Definition

  • “Do not do unto others what you would not have them do unto you”

Discussion

The Silver Rule is a helpful way to convey Live and Let Live’s Legal Principle.

Importantly, everyone’s preferences of who they might like to be treated are subjective (meaning they are individual), the Legal Principle adds a quality of universality to the Silver Rule while also making it simpler: don’t aggress. This standard does not depend on subjective preferences.
