- Eminent domain is the government’s authority to forcibly seize privately owned land for “the greater good”. Such seized property is typically used for public infrastructure projects. As there is the previous property holders need not consent to give up ehtier land when the government exercises this autohrity, eminent domain is a clear breach of the Legal Principle.
