Rough sketches
The following discussion presents some rough outlines of creative ways we could transition to a fully fledged 3L society (there will be many other ways that have yet to be conceived or made known to the Live and Let Live Movement):
1% voted to be free each year, based on their promises (those who lie are frauds)
- Let it be opt-in to be voted free. This allows people to recuse themselves from being voted to be free by default.
Proof of kindness
- Those who give the most get the highest ranks/scores (and therefore are likely to attract the most customers, who benefit from that circularity).
Interim tax ideas (on ratcheted path to zero taxation)
Georgism - land tax that ratchets down each year?
Tariffs
- Some may deem it sensible to set mirroring tariffs; i.e., keep free trade with all countries that agree to equal terms of free trade, but tariff in equal measure to foreign country tariffs.
Sovereign Wealth Fund
- Create a 3L Sovereign Wealth Fund, in which all 3L members have 1 share.
- The fund pays out any income it generates to members on an annual basis.
- This could be funded by legacy donations (leaving their estate to the fund in their will), or normal donations.
- It’s essentially a non-coercive universal basic income to only the peaceful people of the world.
- This would increase the benefits of being a Member, so perhaps Membership would need to require additional verification steps at that point, like buddy-system-referal/approvals, or photo evidence of voting for 3L… that kind of thing.
