👥 Community

What does Community Mean?

A community in the context of Live and Let Live is a localized resolution of reasonable disagreements about how to implement the Legal Principle.

Typically communities are groups which share fundamental values. This means smaller groups of people tend to be communities rather than large groups.

The Live and Let Live Movement emphasizes local communities as a key concept in the successful adoption of the Legal Principle in a universal sense.

Communities may emerge spontaneously from voluntary exchange (the 3L-preferred way), or through coercive arrangements forcing people to live and interact with one another (contrary to the Legal Principle).

Organized coercion can be a “community” although it is not the community model the Live and Let Live Movement supports.
