🔆 Achieving real change

Overview

  • Changing how we think is the only way to achieve real change in society.
  • The end of slavery, the fall of authortarian regimes and the expansion of civil rights were not achieved by voting alone. Each happened when enough people’s view about the world changed.

Network effects

  • As more people adopt the 3L philosophy, change will inevitably occur.

    • Statutory laws will change as:

      • more legislators change their political positions to maintain their elected seats, or
      • voters replace them with people who have adopted the 3L philosophy.
  • It will be increasingly unpopular for executive branch members to implement unjust laws that punish people who do not violate the Legal Principle.

Changing hearts and minds is key

  • Because of the risk of misinterpretation, we must understand the essence of the 3L Philosophy as it applies in reality. The Live and Let Live Movement must be in our hearts and minds
  • If we don’t achieve our goal of changing the minds of a critical mass of the citizens, our progress will not be sustained. Judges applying the Legal Principle would reach unreasonable decisions.

The importance of good parenting

  • There is a strong correlation between poor parenting and crime. Being a good parent is one important aim to which we may aspire to bring more peace into the world.
