🔮 A path to peace

The Path to World Peace:

  1. The Path: Identify the steps which enable the conditions for peace.

    1. Peace in society requires two conditions:

      1. the absence of aggressing (freedom), and

      2. aspiring for moral excellence.

    2. Aggressing must be clearly defined and consistently applies.

    3. Aspiring for moral excellence must only ever be voluntarily, and never forced. Forcing subjective standards of morality upon others is a form of aggressing and, therefore, incompatible with peace.

    4. A Legal Principle to not aggress can inform the development of legal frameworks.

    5. Because the positions in many issues differ between cultures and personal circumstance, disputes over how the Legal Principle applies in various situations must be tolerated. There may be no objectively correct answers to some of these disputes. As such, individuals must be permitted to resolve such disputes on a local level or on a mutually-voluntary basis.

  1. Leadership: Lay the foundations for coordinated action.

    1. The Live and Let Live Council of individuals with a comprehensive understand of the Movement challenges the universality of the Legal Principle and the Moral Principle to ensure their applicability in any situation.

    2. The Live and Let Live Movement is spearheaded by an operations team to foster a community of individuals who agree with and promote the movement.

  1. Awareness: Spread the message

    1. Leverage digital infrastructure to reach the people from all walks of life, wherever they may be.

    2. Empower leaders, Ambassadors, are well informed of the 3L message. They promote it and apply it in their projects and among their network.

  1. Belonging: Reach a critical mass of people who can actually achieve change in their local communities.

    1. Create networks and communities where individuals can experience real value and increased standards of living, including opportunities for welfare, belonging and prosperity.

    2. Local chapters in all countries of the world.

    3. A critical mass required for achieving political success is typically about one-third of the population in that local area.

  1. Change: Remove laws which punish people for victimless acts, phase out taxation, and outlaw all aggressing conduct.

    1. Easy wins include abolishing all victimless crime laws that fail to achieve any good, drain public resources, and limit freedom.

    2. Taxation can be steadily reduced, with caution to avoid the chaos that going too slow or too fast would induce.

    3. Any existing failures to prevent aggressing, like many forms of pollution that are currently permitted, should be quickly outlawed.

  1. Critical Mass Globally: Grow thriving communities of freedom, peace, and prosperity

    1. Ultimately, might makes reality, meaning those with the greatest influence in the world are those with the power to determine how most people live their lives. 3L does not seek to determine how anyone lives their life so long as it is respectful of others. When individuals, communities and networks adopt Live and Let Live’s two principles, Live and Let Live may become the most influential movement on Earth. In this case, there will be fewer opportunities and fewer incentives for sustained aggressing.

    2. We can start on our local level.

    3. You can start on your individual level.
