Disagreements are expected
- No two people agree on everything - that’s true within the 3L Movement too.
- We welcome all people who have a preference for peace, and an understanding that peace requires both the absence of aggression and the presence of kindness (or general decency towards others).
- The 3L Movement anticipates, welcomes, and resolves different good-faith and reasonable approaches to all these issues.
- Supporters and beneficiaries may align with the 3L Movement even if their views do not perfectly align with each other on exactly how the 3L Philosophy applies in various situations.
United by tolerance of differences
- We must expect, welcome, and resolve reasonable disagreements on complex issues related to the 3L Philosophy. We must avoid creating divisions and factions within the 3L Movement, as this would not be conducive to fulfilling our overarching goal of achieving global peace.
- We should tolerate reasonable differences and alternative good-faith approaches to complex issues. Fundamentally, we agree on the critically important areas that unite us (e.g., like care for our loved ones and the betterment of humanity).
- The 3L Philosophy guarantees at least a reasonable interpretation of how the Legal Principle applies in all circumstances. Local communities select which reasonable interpretation becomes law in their community.
